Make Your Own Infused Gummy Bears or Squares

Cannabis Infused Gummy Bear/Squares Edibles Magazine Recipe

Ingredients
THC or CBD Tincture of Your Choice, 2 Tablespoons
1/2 cup fruit juice, such as cranberry, grape, orange or lemonade
2 tablespoons unflavored powdered gelatin
2 tablespoons sugar
Optional: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon citric acid (for sour gummies)
Bear-shaped candy molds

Special Equipment:
Two 50-bear gummy bear molds,
or any other style/shape of silicone heat-resistent molds

TIPS:
Gummy bears can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator or at cool room temperature for several weeks.

*This particular recipe is best produced with gelatin rather than pectin (the vegan alternative). It also best produced with sugar rather than a sugar-free alternative because of the bulking sugar provides. Check out our website for more Vegan, Sugar-Free, and Gluten-Free Recipes and alternatives.

Combine the fruit juice or lemonade, gelatin and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until the gelatin and sugar dissolve completely, about 1 minute (make sure there is no undissolved sugar stuck to the bottom of the saucepan). Add THC or CBD Tincture in, we suggest using 2 tablespoons of a THC tincture. If any foam forms while stirring, skim it off and discard. Transfer the mixture to a small liquid measuring cup.

Put the gummy bear molds on a flat surface and slowly fill each cup to the top. Give each mold a small shake to ensure the mixture settles to the bottom. Refrigerate until the mixture sets, about 10-15 minutes. Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

RECIPE VARIATION:
To Make Sour Gummies: After the gelatin has been heated, and the mixture is fluid and smooth, whisk in 1/4 teaspoon citric acid. Taste it, and add up to an additional 1/4 teaspoon citric acid if you prefer a more sour taste.
