Cannabis Science Conference is Hip & Happening in Portland

Coming at the end of August on the 28th, 29th and 30th in Portland, Oregon is the informative Cannabis Science Conference. This event will bring to interested parties in-depth information on the advancement of cannabis science, analytical testing, and personalized medicine. Created in 2016 by Joshua Crossney, the President of jCanna, Inc., a 501 (c)3 non-profit whose goal is to bridge the gap of understanding analytical sciences between the medical cannabis industry and the community.

As more individuals are finding comfort in the medicinal use of cannabis, Josh’s goal is to provide pertinent information to best support the advancement of medicinal cannabis. Being that there is a lack of methodology and standardizations regarding contamination, potency, and testing cannabis, which some states do not have in-place requirements for QC/QA standards. That is why the Cannabis Science Conference is must-needed and appreciated. Taking place at the Oregon Convention Center in Downtown Portland, this year we will have 60,000 square feet of exhibit hall space and 50,000 square feet of meeting space for over 100 exhibitors and thousands of attendees.

On August 28th, the first day of the Conference, is the Canna Boot Camp, a Full Day Workshop with a dual presentation. There will be a focus on the cultivation, extraction, sample prep, and analytical testing for edibles manufacturing. There will also be a medical presentation with the facts and in-depth details on the human body’s endocannabinoid system with the how and why cannabis reacts with our health. Companies will be on hand doing demonstrations of their technology, led by medical professionals and some of the cannabis industry’s top leaders. This Canna Boot Camp will comprehensively share many facets of science of practical and medical issues for $399 a pass.

On August 29th and 30th, Tuesday and Wednesday will be the start of the speakers and exhibits at the Portland Convention Center. The Analytical Science track includes Dr. David (Dedi) Meiri, PhD, an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biology at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and Dr. Jack Henion, PhD, who is an expert in Mass Spectrometry (MS). The medical science track highlights exporters in medical cannabis with details on topics of administration, dosages and up to date findings of advancement.
