Pot Stocks & Stocked Pots: Veggie Stock & Scotts Miracle-Gro

Cannabis Infused Vegetable Stock:

Ingredients:
1 large onion
2 stalks celery, including some leaves
2 large carrots
1 bunch green onions, chopped
8 cloves garlic, minced
8 sprigs fresh parsley
6 sprigs fresh thyme
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
2 quarts water
1/3 cup of infused olive oil

Ingredients
Chop scrubbed vegetables into 1-inch chunks. Remember, the greater the surface area, the more quickly vegetables will yield their flavor. Heat oil in a soup pot. Add onion, celery, carrots, scallions, garlic, parsley, thyme, and bay leaves. Cook over high heat for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add salt and water and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Strain. Discard vegetables. Add 1/3 cup infused olive oil and stir.

Scotts Miracle-Gro Co.
Founded in 1868, lawn and gardening products company Scotts Miracle-Gro Co (NYSE:SMG) is now capitalizing on its strengths and adapting to new trends we see emerging. The stock reached a recent low of $68.24, but it has since gone from strength to strength, eventually reaching a high of $98.82. The reason for this trend was that Scotts Miracle-Gro realized its technologies could easily be transferred to help legal cannabis growers. The company has been developing new pesticides specifically for cannabis growers and these pesticides could help push SMG’s stock price up even further. It’s worth mentioning that Scotts is Monsanto’s exclusive agent for the marketing and distribution of consumer Roundup, a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide, so as long as you’re okay with that, this stock may definitely be worth investing for you. You might just really need some soothing soup to comfort the soul if you can stomach investing in a Monsanto subsidiary.
