Anti-drug vigilantes vandalize CBD store in the UK

UK-CBD-Store-Vandalized

Some uneducated vigilantes vandalized a CBD store, No.1 CBD LTD, in the UK in July. They broke the glass windows, super glued the locks shut and spray painted “STOP THE DRUGS,” in red on the glass.

They seemed to have confused non-psychoactive hemp with cannabis.

It has been legal to possess, buy, and sell CBD without a license, since 2018 in the UK, as long as it is not marketed as having medical benefits.

The World Health Organization says, “To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

Joanne Thompson, 52, the store manager of the BlackPool location didn’t understand why they were targeted when there are other stores selling CBD. They said it came down to, “Ignorance.”

Thompson told The Independent, “I was phoned by a friend in the morning to tell me what had happened and I thought they were joking. I couldn’t believe it when I turned up.”

“It’s just mindless because it is totally legal, and government approved.”
