Veterans and lawmakers urge the Veterans Administration to take a clear stance on its cannabis policies. Currently, VA doctors and medical providers are not allowed to prescribe medical cannabis to their patients. Though cannabis has been said to help with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, which many veterans suffer from, it is still illegal at the federal level and so the VA as a federal organization cannot allow its medical providers to prescribe or recommend cannabis and other related products.
