Researchers examine effects of CBD on those with Heroin and Opioid addictions

As CBD becomes more widely available, there has become a need for more testing to accurately describe its effects, particularly for those struggling with addiction. Yasmin Hurd, director of the Addiction Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and study lead, and her team have been analyzing the effects of CBD for those suffering from opioid and heroin addictions. In a double blind study, they found that in a lab setting, CBD reduced the cravings in those who had CBD supplements versus those who had not.
