Cannabis finally got live exposure to the general public as nine fresh potted plants were on display at the Oregon State Fair. This exhibit, organized and hosted by the Oregon Cannabis Business Council, are the very first of its kind in an American state fair.
The nine specimens on display were hand picked by judges in a competition at the Oregon Cannabis Growers’ Fair which was held on August 13th. Three of each plant were winners in the sativa, indica and hybrid categories. Due to state regulations, these plants are unbudded, yet the industry hopes that such laws will change by next year. The exhibit itself is housed in a tent with guards and admittance is only allowed to guests who are 21 and over.
The Oregon State Fair will be held from August 26th to September 5th in Salem, Oregon.
