Two New Cannabinoids Discovered

Scientists in Italy have isolated and investigated the properties of two new cannabinoids. Cannabis research is constantly ongoing, especially with the waves of legalization we’re seeing all over the world. The Italian military has been growing its own cannabis for research purposes, which has been utilized by Italian scientists to study the effects of cannabis. The most commonly known and abundant cannabinoids found in cannabis sativa, are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the compound that causes the psychoactive effects of consuming cannabis and cannabinoid (CBD), which boasts the more non-psychoactive therapeutic properties.

The scientists discovered and named the cannabinoids, tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THCP) and cannabidiphorol (CBDP). The most commonly known and abundant cannabinoids found in cannabis, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the compound that causes the psychoactive effects of consuming cannabis and cannabinoid (CBD), which boasts the more non-psychoactive therapeutic properties. They claim that THCP may have the potential to be 30 times more potent than THC. The don’t quite know the pharmacological effects on humans, as it has never been searched for before in any cannabis samples.
